Norman “Grover” is an amazing puppy! We held off getting a puppy bc of how much trouble everyone said they were. Sure, it has its challenges but Norman is very calm, even tempered and a fast learner. He rings a bell to go potty, was crate trained when we got him, has always slept thru the night and has already learned a handful of commands. I looked at lots of breeders before choosing Back Roads Mini Bernedoodles. One of the things I was so impressed with versus the others was the fast response time to my many questions.

My fiance and I had been dying to get a puppy! We looked around at breeders for a very long time before stumbling across Back Roads Mini Bernedoodles on Facebook. We were sold after talking to Lisa. She was very quick to respond and kept us informed throughout the entire process! We also loved that the puppies would be exposed to little kids and had a huge backyard to romp around in before coming home. When we visited their home to pick out our puppy, we were also impressed with how clean the puppy area was and how sweet Molly was with her pups. We couldn’t be any happier with our Mackey, formerly Sweetie, in Molly’s summer litter. She is now 5 months old and incredibly smart, loving and playful. We can safely say out of the 6 dogs in our training class she was the valedictorian. Although she’s little, she’s incredibly brave and extremely friendly with all dogs and kids so far. We get compliments all the time on her beautiful color as well (she is one of the sables- brown and white with some grey and black mixed in). Right now she’s about 17 pounds we think and the vet is expecting her to grow to about 25 pounds. She was house trained easily and knows about 5 tricks/commands so far. We know that when Mackey is ready for a sister or brother Back Roads Mini Bernedoodles will be our first choice. If you’re thinking of a doodle- go for the Bernedoodle! They are such a great breed. Lisa was great to work with. We were looking for a Bernedoodle for a couple months. Finally we stumbled across backroads. We had our puppy (Mila) shipped to us. It was a new experience for all parties involved but it went very smooth. Our puppy was supposed to fly out on United but because of what was happening with United at the time we had to change to American. That meant Lisa had to drive 3 or more hours to Ohare. She did it and everything went as planned. She answered all of our questions in the initial phase and kept us up to date on the puppies progress. This is my families first puppy and at just two days with us she already had learned how to sit and is pretty much bell trained aside from a few accidents that were our fault. A week later and our puppy hasn’t had many accidents and now is learning the stay and leave it command. We love our puppy very much. I would recommend this breeder to anyone looking for a mini Bernedoodle.
